Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro in China last month in the MI store. The company has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 series India launch will take time also not disclosed Redmi note 8 price. Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro will launch in India by end of October as certifications take time. No time to Rest Redmi says. After the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch, the company is seemingly working on the successor of the Redmi 7 and the Redmi 7A aka the Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A.
The Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A have been certified by Thailand’s NBTC website. This means the Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A may go official very soon. Much sooner than one can imagine. The certification site reveals that the model numbers of the Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A. The website lists the Redmi 8 with model number M1908C31G while the Redmi 8A gets listed with model number M1908C3KG. Sadly, the certification site doesn’t reveal any further details about the Redmi 8 and the Redmi 8A.
To recollect, ahead of the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro the Redmi 8A appeared on TENAA with some of the key specs. According to the TENAA website, the Redmi 8A will come with a 6.2-inch screen. The phone will include waterdrop notch or what Xiaomi likes to call it – Dot drop notch. The listing further revealed that the Redmi 8A will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is said to come with expandable storage support.
The TENAA listing further revealed that the Redmi 8A will include dual cameras on the rear panel and single image sensor. On the rear panel, the Redmi 8A is expected to sport a 12MP primary sensor while on the front the phone is said to include an 8MP camera. Besides the camera another big upgrade Redmi 8A will have is on the battery department. The Redmi 8A is expected to be backed by a 5000mAh battery set up. The listing further revealed that the Redmi 8A will run Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10. The budget-segment smartphone will come in various colors – black, red, blue, pink, and white.
